Operating Instruction
Model ATL8-15 Ground Fault Protection Plug (hereinafter referred to as GFCI) is suitable for AC 60Hz, single-phase three-wire circuit with rated voltage 120V, rated current up to 15A, intended to protect the circuit against ground fault.
The GFCI should be connected with appropriate cable, according to the polarities identified on terminals, and the wire-clamping device is tightened. Then plug the GFCI into proper power outlet. Press “Reset” button, the indicator should turn red; Press “Test” button, red indicator should disappear, Through above test, if the indicator shows as required, the “Reset” button could be pressed again to energize the load.
When power supply is faulted, such as power cut or open circuit (any conductor of L,N wires opened ), GFCI will interrupt the circuit automatically. When a ground fault exists in the circuit or “Test” button is pressed GFCI will trip automatically and be locked on open position. GFCI could be reclosed only after pressing “Reset” button.
CAUTION
This GFCI does not protect against electrical shock due to contact with both current carrying conductors of an electrical circuit, or a fault in any wiring supplying this device. Do not use where water may enter GFCI case.
